GEL MD
Indications
Eye gel is used as a tear substitute in the treatment of dry eye and tear film instability.
Dosage and method of use
1. Tilt your head back and look up.
2. Hold the tube upright over the eye with one hand, while gently lowering the lower lid with the other hand. Holding the tube vertically will favor the formation of a small drop which will easily detach from the open tube (see figure).
3. Press the tube and instill a drop in the lower part of the eye (conjunctival sac). Avoid touching the eye with the dropper tip. This will avoid contamination of the product.
4. Close your eyes (without rubbing) and blink several times to distribute the drops on the ocular surface.
5. Repeat the instillation 3 or 4 times a day or as often as required by the severity of the condition.
Note. If you find it difficult to instill the drops in your eyes, ask someone else to do so by following the instructions above.
Features
Translucent, transparent, viscous gel that can be administered in the form of drops. After instillation, it is rapidly distributed on the ocular surface (conjunctiva and cornea), forming a protective film for a prolonged time. CE medical device.
Warnings
-Do not use in case of allergies to one of the constituents of the gel.
-Do not use if you suffer from eye disorders, especially inflammation of the iris or corneal disorders, consult your doctor to decide whether treatment is possible.
-The tube and the tip of the drop counter must not come into contact with any surface, in particular the ocular one. These precautions reduce the risk of gel contamination.
-Contact lenses should not be worn during instillation. These can be re-entered after an interval of at least 30 minutes.
-Avoid driving motor vehicles or operating machines if your vision is blurred immediately after instillation of the gel.
